2014-15 Concerts and Gala performances

Nicolas Testé has a full season of performances in collaboration with renowned musicians, including with his wife, soprano Diana Damrau. Nicolas and Diana join tenor Piotr Beczała, Maestro Pavel Baleff, and the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra in concert on September 23, at The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The trio will sing much-loved arias and duets from Italian composers Verdi, Bellini, and Donizetti, and French pieces by Massenet and Gounod. Tickets and a complete program listing are available here. The artists reunite, joined by the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, on September 26 in Baden-Baden.

Later this season, Mr. Testé and Ms. Damrau will perform a series Bel Canto concerts in Europe, on October 19 in Prague, and in the spring, on April 10 in Monte Carlo, April 13 in Frankfurt, April 15 in Vienna, and in Munich on April 17.

Nicolas Testé deeply regrets that the two concert performances of Bellini’s „I puritani“ scheduled for July 17 and 29, 2014 have been cancelled by the promoter at short notice. Nicolas Testé had been very much looking forward to these performances. No replacement dates are planned with Nicolas Testé. Ticket holders are asked to contact the promoter Vita e Voce directly.

Lucia di Lammermoor on Warner Classics – available November 24

A new recording of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, with Nicolas Testé as Raimondo, will be available on the Warner Classics label on November 24. This 2-CD set features a live concert performance from Munich in 2013, with Mr. Teste’s wife Diana Damrau in the title role, tenor Joseph Calleja as Edgardo, baritone Ludovic Tézier as Enrico and Jesús López-Cobos leading the Münchener Opernchor and Orchester.
