European Concert Tour – June Dates

Nicolas Testé’s concert tour with soprano Diana Damrau continues to two additional cities in Europe, Baden-Baden and Essen. On June 2, the duo will perform at the Baden-Baden Festpielhaus followed by Philharmonie Essen on June 4. They are joined by Maestro Emmanuel Villaume and the Prague Philharmonia in a varied program featuring selections by Bellini, Massenet, Meyerbeer, and more. Mr. Testé’s and Ms. Damrau’s concerts have been described as “unforgettable evenings” (am.mx.com).

Following successful concerts in South America, Nicolas Testé and soprano Diana Damrau continue their concert tour in Europe. The duo will be joined by Maestro Emmanuel Villaume and the Prague Philharmonia in a varied program featuring selections by Bellini, Massenet, Meyerbeer, and more. Performances begin in Prague on May 16 at the Rudolfinum Dvorak Hall and the Semperoper Dresden on May 21, followed by the ICE Kraków Congress Centre in Poland on May 24 and at the Philharmonie im Gasteig in Munich on May 31. Mr. Testé’s interpretation of Philip II’s aria of Don Carlos (in the original French) during a recent concert at the Teatro Colón was lauded as “the most poignant that can be imagined” (Clarin).

‘Lucia di Lammermoor’ at the Bayerische Staatsoper

Nicolas Testé sings Raimondo in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor this summer at the Bayerische Staatsoper. He has been heralded as “… a Raimondo of generous vocal resources and considerable timbral allure” (Opera News). Performances take place July 13 & 16 in Munich, with a starry cast including Diana Damrau in the title role, Charles Castronovo as Edgardo, and Simone Piazzola as Enrico. Oksana Lyniv conducts both performances, which feature a recently premiered production by Barbara Wysocka.
