This summer, Nicolas Testé sings the role of Ferrando in Verdi’s thrilling Il Trovatore at Chorégies d’Orange. Mr. Testé previously performed the role to great acclaim in Marseille, where his “excellent” Ferrando was a highlight of the production. He is joined by a spectacular cast in Orange, including Roberto Alagna as Manrico, Hui He as Leonora, Marie-Nicole Lemieux as Azucena, and George Petean as Il Conte de Luna. Bertrand de Billy leads the Orchestre National de France in this Charles Roubaud-directed staging, which takes place August 1 & 4.
