Les Pêcheurs de Perles at the Metropolitan Opera

From November 14 until December 1, Nicolas Testé stars as Nourabad in Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs de Perles at the Metropolitan Opera, returning to the role after having last sung it there in the 2015–16 season. He then received great acclaim, with Martin Bernheimer from the Financial Times claiming “his resonant voice made [him] wish he had more singing in the piece”.

Pretty Yende is the beautiful priestess Leïla, and Javier Camarena and Mariusz Kwiecien portray Nadir and Zurga as rivals for her forbidden love. Emmanuel Villaume conducts.

Hérode in L’Enfance du Christ

News: Dec 08 2018

For his last performance of the year, Nicolas Testé returns to Paris on December 14. He sings Hérode in Berlioz’s L’Enfance du Christ alongside Stéphanie D’Oustrac as Marie, Edwin Crossley-Mercer as Joseph and Polydorus, and Bernard Richter as a centurion and the narrator. Emmanuel Krivine conducts.
