Nicolas Testé kehrt in diesem Winter an die Metropolitan Opera zurück, als Nourabad in einer neuen Inszenierung von Bizets „Les pêcheurs de perles“ am 31. Dezember, 4., 8., 12., 16., 20., 23., 27. & 30. Januar 2016. Diana Damrau singt Leila, Matthew Polenzani ist Nadir, Mariusz Kwiecien singt die Rolle des Zurga in dieser Inszenierung von Penny Woodcock. Dabei wird diese Oper zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte der Met auf die Bühne kommen. Der Maestro Gianandrea Noseda dirigiert das Orchester der Metropolitan Opera und den Chor für diese Premiere, die außerdem am 16. Januar Live in HD in verschiedene Theater weltweit übertragen wird.
