In diesem Frühjahr präsentiert Nicolas Testé gemeinsam mit Diana Damrau eine Konzert-Tournee durch Südamerika und besucht dabei die renommiertesten Veranstaltungsorte des Kontinents. Den Anfang machen sie am 22. April im berühmten Teatro del Lago in Frutillar in Chile, begleitet von dem polnischen Pianisten Maciej Pikulski. Es folgen Auftritte im Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires mit dem Orquesta Filarmónica de Buenos Aires unter Dirigent Mario Perusso (27. April), und mit dem Orquestra Acadêmica Mozarteum Brasileiro (1. und 2. Mai) im Mozarteum Brasileiro in São Paulo. Ihr Programm bietet Werke von Verdi, Gershwin und anderen.

The acclaimed German soprano Diana Damrau met her future husband, French bass-baritone Nicolas Testé, in a Munich church 13 years ago while performing Jean Francaix’s oratorio, “L’Apocalypse Selon.”
“It was a heaven-and-hell orchestra, a heaven-and-hell chorus, and Nicolas sang Christ,” Damrau said, adding “my redeemer” with a laugh.

"Testé was a worthy complement, from his entrance with "La calunnia" to the aria of Alvise de La Gioconda and another from Salvator Rosa, by Antonio Carlos Gomes. Another finding was the "Pif, paf" from Huguenots, and the version that Testé delivered of Philip II's aria of Don Carlos (in the original French) was one of the most poignant that can be imagined."
